Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a biblical support and recovery program that addresses a variety of hurts, habits and hang-ups using a 12-step approach based on the Beatitudes from the book of Matthew. Bethany’s CR leaders understand your struggles as they also have experienced freedom from addictive and dysfunctional patterns. They have been trained to guide people through the 12 Steps/8 Principles, and to provide a safe environment for accountability and building authentic relationships. You are invited to join CR on any Friday, 7-10 pm (year-round, excluding holiday weekends) here at Bethany.
What Does a Typical Evening Include?
Celebration Dinners (6:15-7 pm) – Offered on the last Friday of each month (excluding July/August). This is a great opportunity to invite your family/friends and introduce them to CR.
Large Group Worship Time (7-8 pm) – We worship together and rotate between teachings on the 12 Steps/8 Principles and hearing the recovery stories of CR participants.
Small Group Time (8-9 pm) – We break into gender and issue-specific groups. This time provides an opportunity for individuals to share without interruption and to find support from others who share a similar struggle. Visitors are not permitted in these groups. Note: First time at CR? Newcomers group will provide you with an overview of the program and lay a foundation for your participation in the program. You are welcome to attend Newcomers with a friend.
Cafe Time (9-10 pm) – This is a place where we gather together to socialize and share. Often snacks are available, as well as coffee and tea. This is an important time to interact with others from CR, check out the resources available to you, connect with leaders, and find accountability partners and sponsors.
